FIDE Blitz and ACF Quick Rated Chess Tournament

Time Control:
3 minutes + 2 seconds per move for the game.

Entry Fees:
Members: $5 (Free for players over 2000 ACF Quick or FIDE Blitz)
Non-Members: $20

Prizes
1st: $150 | 2nd: $100 | 3rd: $50
1st U1750 ACF, U1500 ACF, U1250 ACF: $50 voucher in each group. 

In the case of a tie, prizes are split equally among players. All rating prizes are based on ACF quick ratings only. 

Clocks start at exactly 7:15 pm. The default time is when the clock runs out.

Terms and Conditions:

• Players with a FIDE Rapid or ACF Quick rating over 2000 are eligible for free entry. 
• Entries are only accepted on our website.
• Decisions made by the chief arbiter on the night are final, and no appeals are permitted for the purpose of time. (Article 11.10)
• Pairings by Vega using FIDE Approved Baku Acceleration Method.
• July FIDE and June ACF Ratings will be used.
• Half-point byes are only permitted for the tournament's first two rounds and must be communicated to the arbiter before 6 pm.
• Please email byes@rootyhillchessclub.org if you are unable to make it to your game. 
• Players not residing in Australia must have a FIDE ID to compete. Players must obtain an ID from their national federation if not listed on the FIDE website.
• FIDE Blitz rules as per Article B.3 will be applied to this tournament.
• Late entries are an extra $10 for all players.
