We are proud to introduce the founder of Roman Taekwondo Academy – Ahmad Roman Abasy.

Roman is an accomplished Taekwondo athlete and coach who represented Afghanistan in more than 30 international competitions. His achievements include:

🥉 Bronze Medal – 2014 Asian Games, Incheon, Korea

🏅 Four other international medals from global Taekwondo tournaments

🌍 Competitor at the 2015 World Taekwondo Championships, Russia

🏆 Recognised as Best Coach – 2015 Tajikistan International Tournament

Since resettling in Australia, Roman has dedicated his career to empowering youth, refugees, and migrants through sport. His vision for the academy is to create inclusive, affordable, and community-driven Taekwondo programs that build confidence, discipline, and resilience in every student.

Today, he continues to inspire the next generation of athletes while promoting the power of martial arts to bring people together.
