This course is designed for youth who are learning French or attending a French school and want to discover or expand their sailing skills in French! Our French-speaking instructor will provide your kids with a fun and comprehensive experience, both on and off the water.
Each morning, participants will sail on dinghies in different level groups.
Cancellations and Rebooking

Rescheduling Policy: Courses canceled at least 72 hours in advance via email can be rescheduled for another week of the holiday program without penalty.

Late Cancellation Fee: Cancellations made within 72 hours of the course start time will incur a $75 rescheduling fee, unless due to illness (a medical certificate or proof will waive this charge).

Missed Days: If your child misses a single day of the course, that day cannot be rescheduled or refunded.

Minimum Attendance Requirement: This course requires a minimum of 5 participants to proceed. If this number is not met, you may choose to:

Be rebooked for a future session at no extra cost.

Refund Policy: In line with Victorian regulations, we do not offer refunds. However, if we must cancel or reschedule a session, we will work with you to find the best alternative solution for your child’s sailing experience.

Course Overview
This course aims to build on skills learned in Tackers 2 and focuses on advanced sailing skills through games and adventures on the water.
Course Prerequisites
- Water confident
- 7-12 years-old
- Skills, knowledge and experience gained in Tackers 2
Who should do this course?
This course is designed for participants who have completed Tackers 2.
Course Outcome
By the end of the Tackers 3 course, the participants will be able to:
- Demonstrate the correct method and understand the theory of roll tacking and gybing
- Stopping the boat in a confined areas for a period of time
- Sail backwards
- Understand the theory behind gybing and can demonstrate the action downwind
- Show a sound knowledge of the five essentials:
- Centreboard position
- Boat trim
- Boat balance
- Course made good
- Sail trim
- Start and finish races on a triangle and trapezoid course
- Always use tactical mark roundings in races
You will gain your Tackers 3 completion certificate.
