This course is exclusively for schools partnered with EFM, and open only to students who are learning French or attending a French school. It is designed for those who wish to discover or further develop their sailing skills in French. Our French-speaking instructor will provide your children with a fun, engaging, and comprehensive experience, both on and off the water.
Each morning, participants will sail on dinghies in different level groups.
Below, you can find the program that participants will follow in the morning for this group session. If the participants successfully master all these skills, they will receive their Junior completion certificate:
Steer with tiller extension under towing paddling power
Tie a figure 8 knot, round twice and two half hitches
Tack (push turn)
Gybe (pull turn)
Reach around a figure of 8 course using both tacking and gybing
Sail with tiller extension
Sail upwind and downwind by following the safety boat
Who should take this course?
This course is designed for children with varying levels of sailing experience and knowledge of water activities.
Cancellations and Rebooking:
Please note that courses canceled up to 72 hours in advance by email will not incur a fee to reschedule. However, cancellations made with less than 72 hours notice will be subject to a $75 charge (if you are sick, we will just need proof to waive this charge).
Important Information:
Our sailing academy does not offer refunds. However, we will be more than happy to be flexible with any cancellations and find the best solution to reschedule your sailing session.
