Courses Outcome
The Optimist squad is a development squad made up of Youg Sailors in Optimist to become competitor.
Group training occurs regularly, run by their invaluable coaches, leading the fleets towards State, National and World level competition. Optimist squad is very closely integrated with our Club Racing, which runs weekly in the Summer Season (September – April). Training generally does not slow down during the Winter Season as there is regular Club Racing at this time of the year.
It’s a great way to meet new friends, practice sailing techniques and develop an understanding of basic racing rules. Optimist Squad is designed to introduce sailors and their families to racing and to what it means to be part of a Yacht Club community in a fun and simple way.
