River City teams

The BWPI competition is the weekly Brisbane water polo fixture, and is played (for the majority of teams) each Saturday during Term 4 and the following Term 1. Games are played at the same venue, and usually at a similar time, each week.

BWPI teams are finalised over the first two rounds of the BWPI Summer Season each year.

Other teams are selected specifically for relevant competitions, such as Queensland State Titles and Club Nationals.

If your child is playing in more than one team, you should be on a mailing list for each age group. If you have any questions, please contact your team manager or your coach.

At the start of each season and for each competition, we are usually looking for a manager for each team. The role of the team manager is to keep players and parents informed about game times, organise table duty for the team (which has to be undertaken each game), and to act as the first point of contact for any questions and concerns. Being a team manager is a great way to get involved with your child's sport, and takes some of the load off our hardworking volunteer coaches. Please consider getting involved and helping your child's team and the club.

We would like to remind players and parents that our coaches are volunteers, and teams are selected based on what coaches believe is best for the club, the team and each individual player. We understand that you might not agree with all selection decisions, but ask that any feedback or questions you have are delivered in a courteous manner.
