RGYC is hosting the 2026 Australian Youth Match Racing Championship in October 2026. This will follow up a warm-up regatta in September 2026.

RGYC is seeking sailors keen to train and work towards nomination and invitation to entry in the Australian Youth Match Racing Championship. It is the Club's intention to put together a training program over the winter months. Skippers will be selected by 15 July, followed by a final team selection at the September regatta.

To be eligible for the Australian Youth Match Racing Championship, sailors must be over the age of 13 on or before 21 October 2026. All competitors shall be under 23 years old on 31 December 2026 (i.e. born after 31 December 2003).

Applications for entry to the Australian Youth Match Racing Championship are required by 31 July 2026. This requirement is only for the skipper.
