This Australian Sailing Start Helming Course is the second step on the Keelboat pathway to introduce you to the basics of steering a Keelboat. The course is aimed at people with a little sailing experience generally following on from a Start Helming Course. In this course you will work on steering around a triangular course, steering effectively and trimming sails on all points of sail, safety and emergencies and improve your sailing theory. Upon completion you will gain an Australian Sailing Certificate - Start Helming.

All courses are subject to minimum participation numbers and the RGYC Sailing Academy strictly abides by the Australian Sailing instructor/student ratios. Places are limited so we recommend registering early to avoid disappointment.

Please note, some flexibility with dates may be required. If a course date needs to be changed due to bad weather the replacement session will be held on the 19th of May.

Please Contact the RGYC office at (03) 5229 3705 or sailingacademy@rgyc.com.au for any further information you require.
