Event Waiver

I certify that all information on this Entry Form is correct to the best of my knowledge and that the competitor:

(a) is A financial member of yacht club affiliated with Australian Sailing.
(b) has a Hull, rig and equipment in a seaworthy and suitable condition, complying with the appropriate Class Rules.
(c) has comprehensive insurance including third party liability cover with a minimum of $10 million for each and every incident.
(d) releases Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club (Inc.) and any representative thereof from any claim or demand that I may have or deem myself to have on my or anyone else's behalf arising out of the WAIODA Optimist State Championships 2026

Media Rights

In participating in this event, a competitor or their guardian automatically grants to the WAIODA and the OA and the sponsors of the event, the right in perpetuity, to make, use and show, from time to time and at their discretion, any motion pictures, still pictures and live, taped or film television and other reproductions of them during the period of the competition for the said event in which the competitor participates and in all material related to the said event without compensation.
The use of drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles by parents, support persons and spectators must be approved by the OA and be operated in compliance with all applicable regulations.
