Green and Orange Fleet is a program for:
- Sailors who have completed Tackers 3/Out There Sailing Combined and are now looking to engage in Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club Fleet training.
- Junior Members who have sailed with Green or Orange Fleet before and are not ready to move to the racing classes program.
Green and Orange Fleet promotes practicing the fundamental skills of sailing, introduces some foundation race skills through training activities in an environment that is enjoyable, without a competition focus. During these sessions, sailors are encouraged to trial a variety of types of boats to ensure they broaden their sailing experience.
- Each participant is entitled to three trial sessions before making a commitment to join the Club however, if you wish to continue in the sailing program, participants must become Junior Members of Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club.
- Participants are required to purchase their own boat as they develop through the program. The Club will provide Green and Orange Fleet sailors use of training boats as they decide which class is right for them. The Club administraiton team can assist in facilitating purchase of your boat and finding a storage location in the Dinghy Club.
- A $100.00 coaching fee will be levied from all participants to contribute towards the cost of running the program. This coaching fee is due when registering for the program.
