To be held on the world-renowned flat water of the Swan River, providing excellent conditions with daytime temperatures of 30°C, and consistent daytime breeze averaging 15 – 20 knots, with superb afternoon conditions fuelled by the famous ‘Fremantle Doctor’, a highly consistent cooling south westerly sea breeze. The event will feature great racing linked with a strong social program, with the emphasis on good times and fun.

This regatta will build on the feedback from the highly successful inaugural WASZP International Games on Lake Garda and consist of one or more of the following racing formats:

  • Championship Racing - course racing using windward/leeward, trapezoid or other formats - potentially with reaching starts
  • Reverse Grid - handicap based pursuit racing
  • Slalom –a short downwind format including multiple gybe marks
  •  Marathon – the course may include upwind and downwind legs run over a long distance

Additionally, GPS based speed trials for best peak speed and 10 second average will be conducted during each race session.
