Officials participate in the School Athletics Officiating Program on a voluntary basis and may nominate for events according to their availability. Nomination does not guarantee appointment, and there is no obligation to nominate for or accept any appointment.
Officials appointed to a school athletics carnival may receive a fixed School Carnival Official Payment associated with that appointment. This payment is not calculated according to hours of attendance and does not create any entitlement to ongoing or future appointments.
