Queensland Athletics is exploring a new opportunity for students to gain formal accreditation and paid practical experience in sport and event first aid.
What's on offer?
A fully funded Level 1 Sport Trainer accreditation (5-6 hours online learning and 8 hours face to face) worth $299 if required (reimbursed).
Get paid for practical experience working at upcoming athletics and cross country competitions. Please note we have reached our personel capacity for the remainder of our 2026 Cross Country Season. However still accepting applications for Track and Field Season starting in September 2026.
Build hands-on skills in sports and event first aid.
Who we’re looking for?
We are seeking expressions of interest from students who would be willing to:
Complete the Level 1 Sport Trainer accreditation.
Be available for paid work at selected athletics meets (weekend work).
Applicants must hold:
HLTAID011 – Statement of Attainment to Provide First Aid (completed within the last 3 years)
HLTAID009 – Statement of Attainment to Provide CPR (completed within the last 12 months)
Valid Blue Card (or be able to obtain one prior to commencing work)
