The Jack Holman Memorial Race honours the memory of one of Port Stephens Yacht Club's most respected and enthusiastic sailors. Following Jack's tragic death in a motor vehicle accident, the Club established this annual race, which is held on the Saturday closest to his birthday.

The course traditionally includes the Shoal Bay mark, located off the waterfront near the Shoal Bay Country Club, in recognition of one of Jack's favourite places. Each year, Jack's family joins members and visitors as we celebrate his life, his friendship and his passion for sailing.
