DUE TO THE PRESENT ALGAL BLOOM, THE OPEN DAY ACTIVITIES OF 18 JAN HAVE BEEN CANCELLED

PSC will host monthly youth practice sessions. The kids from VLC Germiston will be coming here to train, so the PSC sailors integrate with them. Subsequent sessions will generally be on the third weekend of the month, which is also our open / family weekend where we welcome newcomers to the club to try sailing. We hope to keep future sessions free or the cost absolutely minimal.

Lunches are available from the galley shop, or you can pack a picnic basket and use our braai facilities for free to relax next to the dam - the whole family is welcome. 

Please bring sun protection and clothing you don't mind getting wet. A change of clothes is a good idea, and the club has full ablution facilities.

Please ensure you and your family are comfortable swimmers, and alert the organisers to any health or other relevant issues. Parents remain responsible for the supervision and care of children, and we ask that they take an active role in ensuring the day is enjoyable for young sailors. Parents should please ensure that the boats used by their children are packed away again. Organisers are always available to show you the ropes and will give all the help you need.

To get to the club, please search Pretoria Sailing Club on Google Maps. MAKE SURE TO USE THE FISHERMAN'S ENTRANCE TO THE RESERVE OFF NELLMAPIUS ROAD - the club cannot be accessed through the main reserve gate, only through the fisherman's gate. When you get to the entrance, please let the reserve staff know you are going to the sailing club. They will open the gate for you and allow free entry.

Entry to the club and participation in the activities is strictly subject to the club waiver and disclaimer being signed beforehand.
