Update 1 of 4 is almost here!

Why are we doing this?

We’re updating our platform with a sleeker, refined look designed to improve site navigation and enable administrators to understand their data more easily.

What's happening?

Starting from the week of April 3rd, you'll notice certain parts of our platform sporting a fresh new appearance as we initiate our new look platform update. The first update, which is one of the four, will revamp some of our platform features such as injury reports, incident reports, tasks, and meetings.

In order to ensure a seamless transition for our administrators, we are gradually implementing updates to our platform features over the course of a few months. Even though some features may have a new look, they will continue to interact with each other dynamically.

We’ll also temporarily insert a ‘switch back’ button to allow platform admins to change their portal to the previous design. This is to enable admins to gradually acclimate to our new look without disrupting their critical duties. This will last a limited time per feature before being removed.

Introducing Two-Factor Authentication (TFA)

What is two-factor authentication?

Two-factor authentication is a security process that requires admins to provide two different forms of identification before accessing the platform. This typically involves a password (something admins know) and a security token or code generated by an authenticator app (something admins will need). By requiring this additional layer of authentication, TFA helps
to prevent unauthorised access to sensitive information and accounts, even if a password has been compromised.

Is TFA coming to revolutioniseSPORT?

Yes, two-factor authentication is coming to our platform with Update 1 of 4. When an admin visits on a page with our new look for the first time, they will be prompted to log in using TFA. This will require admins to download an authenticator app to access the page.

What is an authenticator app?

An authenticator app is a mobile application that generates security codes for two-factor authentication purposes.

The app generates codes based on a time-based algorithm or a counter, which are then used in combination with a username and password to log in to an account. The codes are usually valid for a short period of time, typically 30 seconds, and change continuously to provide added security.

Popular examples of authenticator apps include Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, and Authy.

⚠️ We encourage all administrators in your sport to download an authenticator app before April 3rd. This is not required for members. ⚠️
