2024 NT Volunteer Awards

Pickleball was highlighted on the NT stage at the 2024 NT Volunteer of the Year Awards held last night.
A huge heartfelt thanks to Wendy and Greg for taking the time to nominate me for the Chief Minister's Volunteer of the Year Award. I was recognised as a finalist for the Central Australian award and would like to congratulate Mona Ulak on being named as the award recipient. Congratulations to all nominees, finalists, and recipients.
While my volunteer work was acknowledged, it would not be possible without the ongoing support of Greg. He stands beside me always to help bring this fabulous inclusive sport to Alice Springs. Also, to the wonderful Wendy, who has been a part of this journey since the very start and is always there to help provide play, and to the many players who assist now with set up and take down of equipment, a big thank you to you all. The more we are all able to volunteer assistance the lighter the work load becomes.
We are starting to build a beautiful community of local pickleball players and if you have the time and would like to be involved in continuing the growth of pickleball, not only in Alice Springs, but across the whole of the Northern Territory, we would love to hear from you.
