Academy Team 2022

Peel Hockey Association are seeking talented players in school years 7 to 12 to create a Peel Academy Team (representative team) to play in the Season 2022 J 10-12 Competition on Monday nights, commencing Monday 2nd May 2022.

 

This is an exciting opportunity for both Peel Hockey Association & Academy Team participants, the team will complement our Season 2022 competition structure, providing a 4th team in the competition, while providing a pathway for junior players who wish to further develop their game in a robust environment, both individually and as part of a representative team.

 

Season 2022 Peel Academy Team will be coached by Peel Rebels J 9-10 Boys Coach – Dave Ellam.

  • Cost - $110.00 for 14-week season, commencing Monday 2nd May.
  • Playing uniform – playing shirt provided. Players to provide own black shorts and socks.
  • Game times – All games to be fixtured for the 6.15pm timeslot, players to arrive by 5.30pm for pre-game training.
  • Training times – Team training to be delivered prior to the game on game night, players to arrive by 5.30pm
  • Development Clinics – Participants to be provided access to development opportunities & specialised player development sessions tailored to cater to the requirements of the team dynamic.
  • Development Opportunities – Participants to be notified of all Hockey WA Talent Academy pathways & opportunities and encouraged to participate in Hockey WA’s Club Championship held in the July School holidays.

 

Player Eligibility

To be eligible for participation in the Peel Academy Team, players must be:

 

  • In School Years 7 to 12.
  • Registered with one of Peel Hockey Association’s affiliated club’s (Frederick Irwin, Halls Head, Mandurah, Midcity, Pinjarra)
    • Players in school years 7 to 9, playing for their club in the J7-9 Competition.
    • Players in school years 10 to 12, whose club does not have enough players to nominate a team in the J 10-12 Competition.
