Experience Keelboat Sailing for FREE at one of Perth's premier yacht clubs - Perth Flying Squadron Yacht Club on Sunday 5th November. Open to our Members and the public, this is a great way to discover the great sport of sailing and to see what the fuss is all about out!

We generally recommend a minimum age of 12 to participate in Discover Keelboat Sailing events.  Younger children will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult.  While there is no upper age limit, keelboat sailing does require a basic level of fitness and mobility.

Schedule:

09:00 - Arrive at Perth Flying Squadron Yacht Club; club tour and skipper briefing

10:00 - Depart the dock, sailing experience

11:30 - Return to shore and debrief

 

Afterwards, feel free to grab some lunch at the Yacht Club and observe the 126th Opening Day festivities which includes the following;

13:00 - Opening Ceremony - Official Opening of our Summer Season for 2023/2024 with the blessing of the fleets and firing of the shotgun to open the season

14:00 - Official Sail Past - Members Sail Past the Club saluting our new Commodore!

14:30 - Regatta Races - Listen the shotgon get fired again!

Following Race - Presentations for the Regatta Race.
