Event information
Come and join us at PARC for some long rows in the lead up to Wharf to Woolshed, Head of the Port and Head of the Yarra! We plan to offer 3 sessions of long rowing on the Port River in 2026. Detailed information about the event, including routes and safety information is attached here.
The dates and meet times are:
- Sat May 23 6.30am
- Sat July 11 8.00am
- Sat 8 Aug 8.00am
- Sunday Aug 23 at 7.00am (reserve date if one has to be cancelled)
This event allows you to register for the remaining one or both of the remaining two rows.
We will aim to leave the Club an hour after the meet time, which will allow time to finalise crews and get organised and to receive a safety briefing and get everyone on the water!
The course will be from the club north up the Port River, through the Cutting and back around via Garden Island and North Arm to the Club. The exact course may be changed on the day depending on the weather conditions. If it looks unsafe the event will be cancelled. Dates have been selected for minimal tidal movements but wind is less predictable!
This page is for individual registrations so we can collect seat fees. You may register for one row only for $40 using the discount code ONELONGROW2026. The fee for all remaining two rows is $70. Food and drinks will be available and paid on the day.
Please liaise with your club to organise yourself into crews. Club captains will be requested to email the boat and crew lists to the PARC Captain - captain@portadelaiderowingclub.com.au. Due to safety reasons we will not be accepting registrations for doubles or singles (unless we organise coastal singles and doubles for a particular row).
Volunteers will also be needed to drive tinnies and support tinnie drivers and are also asked to register.
This event is only open to members of Rowing Clubs who are registered with their State Association.
