The Port Adelaide Rowing Club is very excited to announce a special fundraising event.We will be having a special screening of the film the “Paris or the Bush” at the Odeon Star Cinema in Semaphore on Sunday 29 March 2026. 

Paris or the Bush is an Australian production about the epic journey of the Murray Cods. A rowing eight from Murray Bridge, South Australia, overcome prejudice, age, injury and poverty to represent Australia at the 1924 Paris Olympics.This was filmed in 2016, and a lot of the rowing sequences were filmed around the Port, with some of our members featuring as extras in the crew. Tickets are $20 per person and the Odeon Star also have some discounts available at the snack bar:

Please purchase your tickets through our website and present them to the Odeon Star Ticket office on the day to redeem for your cinema tickets and your snack bar items.
