On Saturday, August 12th, OGMHC will be gathering at Lilac Hill in Caversham to prepare for the City of Swan Avon Descent Festival. 

The main event takes place on Sunday, August 13th – an exhilarating race along the Avon River where competitors paddle their way to the finish line. And guess what? We have arguably the best seats in the house - right on the banks of Lilac Hill! Let's cheer on these talented athletes as they pass by, creating an atmosphere filled with excitement and camaraderie.

But it's not just about watching the race; it's also about giving back. We will be hosting a delicious sausage sizzle fundraiser throughout the festival. So, bring your appetite and help us make this day even more enjoyable by contributing your time and energy. Remember, many hands make light work!

This family-friendly event is an excellent opportunity for our club members to bond outside of our usual hockey matches. It's a chance to relax, have fun, and strengthen our community spirit while supporting our club financially.
