The Development Fleet program is a relaxed, confidence‑building program for young sailors who’ve taken the next step from Green Fleet and purchased their own boat - either an Optimist or Open Skiff.

Running on Sunday mornings from October to December, it offers friendly coaching and plenty of on‑water practice so kids can strengthen their skills, learn the basics of racing, and celebrate fun achievements along the way.

Sailors will need their own Optimist or Open Skiff, a Junior Club Membership, or may also lease one of the Club’s Optimists for the season. It’s a great way to enjoy sailing, make friends, and get ready for the next level.

Course fee: $320 + optional 15% NYC sustaining capital fee
