Come along to Nedlands Yacht Club and find out how much fun sailing is!

We are a family friendly club with a thriving junior and adult membership, sailing a range of boats from small dinghies through to trailerable yachts. We run junior, teenager, and adult training courses and welcome everybody to our Discover Sailing Day. We are located on the beautiful swan river with a stretch of lawn with easy access to the water.

The Galley will be open from 10:00 where refreshments can be purchased.

Come along, young or old, and enjoy sailing with one of our experienced members or instructors.

Who should attend ?

Sailing is open and accessible to all ages, however there is alway the risk that you may fall in the water.  Participants should be agile and must be comfortable in the water (we will supply Personal Floatation Devices for everyone).  We find that 7 years of age is a good age to start, and we have 80 year olds still sailing.

Australian Sailing Number

To register for this event, you will need to become a member of Australian Sailing by creating an Australian Sailing number.  This is a free profile created with Australian Sailing in order to ensure that you are covered by our insurance.  There is no cost, and no obligation.  Your details will be stored for a short time on our servers, and you may receive marketing emails, from which you can opt out at any time.

Prerequisite: For safety reasons, participants must be confident in and around the water.
