Looking to learn a new sport in a safe and inclusive environment right by the sea?

The NSW Rifle Association is seeking expressions of interest for our Women's try shooting event this April at the Anzac Rifle Range in Malabar, Sydney.

Aimed at introducing women in metro and regional NSW to the sport of rifle shooting, you’ll  meet some of our experienced shooters and coaches and see all different forms of our sport.

Over three days, you’ll experience biathlon, small bore, full bore  rifles and shoot .22 calibre through to .308 calibre and some in between.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • trial all disciplines of rifle shooting to find out where your interest lies - Service Rifle, Precision Service Rifles, Sporter/Hunter, Biathlon, F-Open, F Class, Field Target Rifle and Target Rifle.

  • meet with some of our international individual and team representatives

  • work with a team of coaches and mentors who’ll guide you through developing these new skills

  • participate in a coached team shoot on the final day for some fun competition!

At the end of your time with us, we’ll introduce you to the most relevant NSWRA member club so you can pursue your area of interest.

This event is fully supervised by qualified and experienced NSWRA personnel, who have all the appropriate checks to ensure your safety during your time on the range.

Event Inclusions

  • Morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner
  • All organised activities, safety equipment, equipment and supervision

Once you have registered for this event, you or your guardian will be contacted by New South Wales Rifle Association and you will be sent a welcome pack which will include our proposed itinerary.  You should plan to arrive on the Range by 10am on Friday 14th April for registration, followed by an introduction to target rifle shooting, safety and some practical range time.
