Zhik Youth Sail NSW is an event for youth sailors U23. All junior and youth classes and classes sailed by sailors under 23 are welcome. Zhik Youth Sail NSW is focused on growing participation in junior and youth classes, increasing sailors’ skills, fostering social connection, and building friendship and community among our youth sailors.
The 3 day coaching clinic is run by Australian Sailing qualified coaches and includes a guest speaker presentation.
Performance Pathway coaches will be supporting and mentoring the coaches during the clinic and observing sailors during the championships.
Only sailors participating in the Coaching Clinic and Green Fleet are permitted to access and launch from the event site between Wednesday and Friday morning.
Green Fleet is open to Optimist, Sabot, and Open Skiffs.
The Green Fleet program will be a mix of coaching, practice racing, and fun activities on and off the water.
The Green fleet program is targeted towards sailors who have completed Tackers 3 learn to sail program or equivalent and who are starting to learn to race. The focus is around having fun and learning new skills as an introduction to racing.
