THE GAIL SIMMONS AWARD FOR NSBHA WOMEN'S MASTERS PERSON OF THE YEAR
Please find attached a nomination form for the Gail Simmons Award which is awarded to the Women's Masters Person of the Year at Presentation Night.
It is an important award so we hope that you take the time to consider and vote on it. To vote, please complete the Nomination form and return it via email to masterswomen@nsbhockey.com.au or simply email your nomination and the reasons for it directly to us.
The nomination form sets out the history of the award, it's criteria (also set out here) past winners of it and the current volunteers and officials in our Association this year.
Criteria
The recipient of this award can either be a player or an official who must be participating in any of the current NSBHA Women’s Masters teams (NSB1; NSB2; NSB3; NSB4 and NSB5) competing in the annual SWHL Women’s Masters competition at Sydney Olympic Park. This award excludes the current Convenor.
The recipient should have the following qualities:
Dedication and commitment to NSBHA women’s masters
Willingness to be part of a team, both on and off the field
Demonstrates good sportsmanship and camaraderie.
Someone who doesn’t expect a “pat on the back” all the time, but rather is that quiet achiever
A person who is an outstanding example of the Women’s Masters Hockey ethos (i.e. participation, enjoyment, friendship, team work on and off the field).
