Welcome to Round 7!
Welcome everyone to our Round 7 Newsletter!
We hope you've all had a fantastic week. As we move further into the season, it's been wonderful to watch our players continue to grow in confidence, skill and teamwork each week. Whether you're new to the game or a seasoned player, it's great to see everyone giving it their all and enjoying their hockey.
To our ladies, we hope you enjoyed a well-earned break over the weekend. Now it's the men's turn, and we'd like to wish all those attending the 2026 CBH Group Men's Country Championship the very best of luck. Play hard, enjoy the experience and make the most of the opportunity!
We were certainly treated to some beautiful weather this past weekend, which made for a fantastic round of hockey across the board. There were some great contests, plenty of team spirit, and some outstanding performances on display.
As you'll see in the results below, North Albany had plenty to celebrate. Congratulations to all teams and players on another successful weekend of hockey!
Enjoy the newsletter, and as always, thank you to our players, coaches, volunteers, families and supporters who make our club such a great place to be.
A Quick Reminder
As we move through the season, please remember to check your game times each week, as fixtures and start times can occasionally change. Taking a moment to confirm your game details helps ensure everyone is where they need to be and ready to go on game day.
We'd also like to remind teams to keep an eye on any umpiring duties allocated to them. If your team has been assigned an umpire, please make sure arrangements are made and that the umpire attends as scheduled. Failing to fulfil umpiring commitments can result in the loss of competition points, so your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
Thank you to everyone who continues to contribute both on and off the field to help our competition run smoothly.

Congratulations to Taylor, our Player of the Week!
Taylor has shown great initiative at training and willingly stepped up to play goalkeeper this week when the team needed her. We truly appreciate her enthusiasm, positive attitude, and the effort she has put into developing her skills throughout the season.
Although she may be one of the smaller players on the team, Taylor has a big personality and an even bigger impact. She is a valued member of our team, and we're proud of the commitment, confidence, and team spirit she brings every week. Well done, Taylor!

Good luck now goes to all players representing the Lower Great Southern Hockey Association at the 2026 CBH Group Men's Country Championships. We're especially proud to see several North Albany players named in the squad. Congratulations on your selection and the hard work that earned you the opportunity. We know you'll represent both the Great Southern and our club with skill, sportsmanship and determination.
The weather forecast might be looking a little ordinary this weekend, but don't let that stop youβafter all, spectators have heaters! What more could you ask for? With any luck, there'll be a few less hobbling players and supporters as we all get a little fitter as the season rolls on!
Good luck to everyone taking the field, and safe travels to those heading away for Country Week. We can't wait to hear all about your adventures and achievements.
See you at the hockey!
