We hope everyone is doing well and looking forward to a relaxing long weekend break from local hockey fixtures. With several of our talented juniors selected to represent at the 2026 South West Junior Hockey Carnival, there will be no scheduled games here this weekend — but there is certainly still plenty of hockey excitement happening!

To all of our players, families, and supporters staying home this weekend, we hope you enjoy the extra rest, some family time, and maybe even a sleep in or two… long weekends are always worth celebrating! 🎉

And to everyone heading away for carnival weekend — GOOD LUCK! We are incredibly proud of all of our juniors representing the club and cannot wait to hear all about the games, goals, laughs, muddy socks, and memories made along the way.

The forecast may be looking a little wild and wonderfully wet 🌧️😅, but we are sure it will only add to the adventure! Stay warm, travel safely, and most importantly have an amazing time representing your teams and our club.

We can’t wait to see all the photos and hear the hockey stories when everyone returns 🏑✨

The South West Carnival in Bunbury is coming up this weekend and we’re looking for umpires across carnival grades 5/6, 7/8 and 9/10.

$25 cash per game

30th, 31st May & 1st June

There is also the opportunity to pick up extra umpiring through the Bunbury association.

🌟 NEW THIS SEASON — PLAYER OF THE WEEK! 🏑🔥

We are so excited to introduce our brand new Player of the Week awards! Each week we will be celebrating players who show outstanding teamwork, sportsmanship, positivity, effort, encouragement, and club spirit out on the field.

Our very first winners have certainly set the bar high!

🏑 Lachie (7/8/9 Boys) — for his kindness, sharing of the ball, willingness to play any position for the team, and always doing it with a smile.

🏑 Ava (10/11/12 Girls) — for her fantastic winning attitude, determination, and scoring her very first goal!

OUR CLUB BATTLE!!

One of the best parts of junior sport is seeing teammates become opponents for a game — and our 2/3/4 Redbacks and Greys certainly gave everyone a fun match to watch this week! There was plenty of excitement, lots of cheering, and no shortage of smiles as friends battled it out on the field together.

A big congratulations to the Redbacks who just managed to sneak ahead with a close 2–1 win, but looking at this photo, we think the real winners were everyone involved. What a fantastic bunch of kids, all simply loving their hockey, supporting each other, and enjoying being part of the club 🖤❤️🏑

🌭 Canteen Duty Reminder ☕🧁

A friendly reminder that canteen duties for our junior teams are coming up soon! While nobody loves roster day 😄, our canteen really is such a wonderful part of hockey weekends — especially on those cold, rainy mornings when the smell of warm toasties drifts across the turf!

Our junior teams will be helping out on:

• 6 June — Redbacks 2/3/4 & Redbacks 5/6
• 25 July — Grey 2/3/4 & Grey 5/6

Teams are asked to provide a few baked goodies or treats and some adult helpers for the canteen. Whether it’s cupcakes, slices, muffins or honey joys, every little bit helps make the day fun and welcoming for everyone at the club.

Thank you in advance to all our wonderful families who help keep our canteen running — we truly couldn’t do it without you.

Thank you once again to all of our players, coaches, volunteers, families, sponsors, and supporters for another fantastic week of hockey. From muddy shoes and cheering sidelines to first goals, close games, and lots of laughs — this club truly is something special.
