Welcome to Round 16! 

Well, what a whirlwind of a season it has been!

As we head into Round 16, the weather seems to be having a little identity crisis — one minute we’re enjoying sunshine and the next we’re wondering whether we should be bringing umbrellas, jumpers or a boat to the hockey! While the weather does its thing, our players are staying focused, determined and giving it everything they’ve got as we head towards the pointy end of the season. Finals are getting closer, and there is plenty to play for!

So, if you can, get yourselves down to the turf and show our teams some love! Whether it’s our littlest hockey stars taking their first steps onto the field, our juniors battling it out, our seniors chasing finals glory… or even our resident hockey geriatrics who refuse to admit their knees aren't what they used to be 😂 — every bit of support makes a difference.  Bring your voices, your cheers and your North Albany spirit! 📣💚

Spring might officially be here, but someone clearly forgot to tell the weather! 🌦️ We went from hot and sunny to rainy and downright chilly on Saturday — because apparently our hockey season needed a few more surprises before we get to finals! 😂

Despite whatever the weather decided to throw at us, our teams got out there and gave it their all. We’re so proud of every player, umpire, coach, manager and supporter who continues to turn up, get stuck in and represent North Albany.

James has had a brilliant game against Griffins this week, showing just how much he has improved throughout the season.

His Player of the Week award recognises his most improved performance over the season, with some fantastic tackling and some great passing out wide helping his team keep the pressure on.

Well done, James! Your hard work and improvement have really shone through this season.

A huge GOOD LUCK to all of our teams over the coming weeks. Whether you’re heading into finals, playing out the final rounds, or simply enjoying the last games of the season, we hope you get out there, give it everything and enjoy your hockey!

Let’s continue to support one another, cheer each other on and celebrate the efforts of all our players, from our youngest hockey stars right through to our seasoned veterans. There’s nothing better than seeing our club getting behind each other!   We’re looking forward to seeing who makes it through to the finals and hopefully watching plenty of North Albany teams battle it out for some silverware! 

And, of course, we’ll soon have the chance to all come together off the field for our Presentation Night. It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the season, recognise the achievements of our players, coaches, managers and volunteers, and most importantly, enjoy a great night together while supporting our hockey association. 🏑

So let’s finish the season with plenty of team spirit, support, laughs and good hockey!
