Welcome back, North!
We hope everyone had a fantastic school holiday break and is feeling refreshed and ready for another exciting round of hockey. We hope you've all brought back a little sunshine, plenty of happy faces, and lots of winning smiles!
Whether you spent the holidays travelling, competing in carnivals, or simply enjoying some well-earned downtime with family and friends, we're excited to see everyone back on the turf wearing the red and grey once again.
Here's to a great weekend of hockey, good sportsmanship, cheering from the sidelines, and making plenty of memories. Good luck to all of our teamsβwe can't wait to see you back in action!

Many of our junior teams were still enjoying a well-earned school holiday break and return to the turf this weekend. We can't wait to see all of our Redbacks back in action and wish every team the very best of luck for the round ahead!

π Zahran β Men's A
A huge congratulations to Zahran, our Player of the Week, who has shown fantastic improvement throughout the season. His hard work, commitment and willingness to keep developing his game have really stood out.
A special highlight was seeing Zahran score his first A Grade goal β a well-deserved reward for the effort he has continued to put in. We can't wait to see what the rest of the season brings!Β Congratulations Zahran!

Jonah β Men's A
Congratulations to Jonah on being recognised as Player of the Week for his outstanding leadership and commitment to the team.
Jonah has really stepped up this season, taking on a leadership role and helping drive the Men's A squad at training. His ability to support his teammates, bring energy and help guide the group has been fantastic to see.
Thanks for stepping up and leading from the front, Jonah!

Round 10 Fixtures β A Big Weekend of Hockey!
After a well-earned school holiday break, our teams are back on the turf and ready for another exciting round of hockey!
This Saturday is set to be a fantastic club day at Albany Hockey Stadium, with plenty of our junior teams taking to the turf throughout the morning, followed by our ladies hitting the field in the afternoon.
From our youngest players through to our senior teams, we'd love to see as many North Albany supporters as possible come down, grab a coffee, cheer from the sidelines and help create a fantastic atmosphere for our players.

Narrogin Junior Carnival Success!
Not everyone had a break from hockey.Β What a fantastic weekend it was at the Narrogin Junior Hockey Carnival!
It was wonderful to see so many of our North Albany Redbacks proudly representing the Lower Great Southern Hockey Association (LGSHA). While they may have swapped their red and grey for a weekend of yellow and green, they represented both our club and our region with pride, determination and outstanding sportsmanship. The standard of hockey was outstanding, and it was great to see so many young players enjoying the experience, making new friendships and creating lifelong memories.

A huge thank you goes to the Upper Great Southern Hockey Association for hosting another fantastic carnival, along with all the coaches, managers, umpires, volunteers and families whose hard work made the weekend such a success.

Finally, congratulations to every North Albany player who travelled to Narrogin. We are incredibly proud of the way you represented not only Lower Great Southern, but our North Albany family as well. We hope you had an amazing weekend full of hockey, laughter and memories to last a lifetime!

Junior Umpire Information Sessions
Interested in giving umpiring a go, or keen to build your confidence with the whistle? Sessions will be held in late July and early August for both new and developing umpires.
Good Sports Information Session
A fantastic opportunity for club committee members and volunteers to learn more about creating healthy, welcoming and inclusive sporting clubs.
Emerging Thundersticks Program
Designed for junior players (approximately 12β16 years) looking to develop their hockey through quality coaching. Whether you're aiming for representative hockey or simply want to challenge yourself and improve your game, this program is for you.
π Hookin2Hockey
Starting 29 July and running through to 16 September, Hookin2Hockey is the perfect introduction for children who are new to the game. If you know someone who's been thinking about giving hockey a try, now is the perfect time!
Keep an eye on the Lower Great Southern Hockey Association and North Albany Hockey Club Facebook pages over the coming weeks, as registrations and further event information will be released soon. It's shaping up to be a fantastic few months of hockey, and we can't wait to see everyone getting involved.
