Good evening everyone,

I hope this message finds all our members well.

It’s hard to believe that our hockey season is already coming to an end. Our teams have put in an incredible effort throughout the year, and we are so proud of everyone’s commitment, growth, and sportsmanship.

A big congratulations to all teams who made it through to the final rounds — what an achievement!  Every game has been a nail-biter, with extra time, penalty flicks, and some tough calls often being the deciders. The level of determination and resilience shown by all of our players has been nothing short of inspiring!

We have some exciting finals action coming up this week! A huge congratulations to the following teams who have made it to the preliminary finals:

🏑 Under 18 Girls – playing on Friday, 12th September at 7:15pm vs Spencer
🏑 Men’s A – playing on Saturday, 13th September at 4:00pm vs Many Peaks

Best of luck to these teams as they battle it out for a spot in the grand final! Let’s show our support and cheer them on.

Also, a big shoutout to our Year 5/6 team and Women’s A team who have both made it to their respective grand finals next weekend.

• Year 5/6 team – playing on Saturday, 20th September at 9:30am vs Spencer or Mt Barker

• Women’s A team – playing on Saturday, 20th September at 2:15pm vs Mt Barker or Spencer

We’re incredibly proud of all our teams and can’t wait to see how they perform in the final stretch of the season. Go teams!  Let’s all get behind them and show our support on the day — we’d love to see as many of you there as possible, cheering them on!

Lower Great Southern Hockey awards Night.

Awards night is upon us.  Griffins Hockey club is hosting this years awards at the Albany surf lifesaving club on Saturday from 6:30pm.  Its sure to be a great night with live music, great food and great mates, sounds like a night to remember!

Don’t forget! We’ve got our hockey wind-up coming up in a few weeks too — we can’t wait to celebrate the season with you all!
