We know you are all hooked on water polo because you are already involved in this fabulous sport but maybe you have some friends who would like to Come & Try water polo on National Water Polo Day. Please spread the word to your friends.
Water Polo ACT is coordinating the day, and we are asking Nordek members, both junior and senior
- to attend and support the event
- to help create a fun and welcoming atmosphere
- to be good ambassadors for the sport and are available to play on the day.

National Water Polo Day – Saturday 12 September 2026
COME AND WATCH, THEN COME AND PLAY
Time: 12:00pm–3:00pm
Venue: Stromlo Leisure Centre
Age: 10+ | Boys and Girls
Swimming requirement: Participants must be able to confidently swim at least 25 metres
Cost: Free to participate (normal facility entry applies)
WHAT IS THE DAY ABOUT?
The aim of the day is to give people who are new to water polo the opportunity to:
WATCH → HAVE A GO → MEET A CLUB → JOIN A CLUB
We want participants to see that water polo is a sport for everyone, whether they are interested in becoming the next Stinger or Shark, trying something new, or simply having fun with friends.
The event is also an important opportunity to introduce new players to our clubs and encourage them to join for the 2026/27 summer season.
