Please be aware that as part of the NDBC registration process, on the following page you must read and agree to the following Terms and Conditions:

CONDITIONS OF MEMBERSHIP & WAIVER INDEMNITY
  * As a member of Newcastle Dragon Boat Club (NDBC), I agree to be bound by the rules of the time being in force, and as amended from time to time.
  * I am a competent swimmer and can tread water (lightly clothed) for no less than 15 minutes and can swim unaided for a distance of 50 metres.
    If NO, please contact the session co-ordinator and request a life jacket.
  * I have no health problems that would preclude me from the activities involved in dragon boating.

SOLE RISK – Each paddler participates in any paddling session (including but not limited to training, racing, boat and equipment handling activities and entailing physical exertion and obvious personal risk both on the land and on the water) solely at his or her own risk, with the understanding of these risks and will not hold Dragon Boats NSW or the NDBC or any of its members or agents liable for any personal injury or loss of property in any way, arising as a consequence of participating in these activities.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY – Each paddler agrees to indemnify Dragon Boats NSW and/or NDBC or any of its members or agents against any claims, damages, actions, proceedings, judgments, liabilities, loss, damages, costs or damage to any person or property whatsoever in any way arising as a consequence of participating in dragon boating activities as mentioned in Sole Risk.
