Whether you’re a cruiser or racer, inshore or offshore, dinghy or yachtie, around the buoys or passage sailor, boat owner, skipper or crew or maybe you’re a bit of all of those – we’re aiming to present topics that will interest you!

Sails, Rigs & Trim

Olympian, World Champion and Volvo Ocean Race Yachtsman, Chris Nicholson has probably spent more time than most staring at sails & rigs and working to get them to opperate at maximum capacity! 

Join Chris to work through the knowledge needed to make solid choices on sail selection, rig settings and how best to trim for maximum speed.  What considerations are needed for weather and wave patterns. There's alot to cover with mains, jibs & spinnakers, specialist sails as well as standing & running rigging. Having been heavily involved in sail making at various levels, Chris can also cover construction methods, latest materials & trends.  Bring a notebook & pen!  We'll allow time for questions and discussion along the way.
