NCYC are pleased to present a program of information sessions
. . . to be held at the Club on weekday evenings, where members and their guests can come together in a casual & social environment and be involved in talks & discussions on a wide variety of topics.
In 2017, when Lisa's mast came crashing down in a storm while on her first Antarctica record attempt she was thrust into a do-or-die survival situation, fighting to save her boat Climate Action Now in storm conditions with a broken mast. Pushed beyond her limits Lisa was tested again and again.
"EVERY DAY IS A GAME OF SURVIVAL OUT THERE"
Enjoy a thrilling story as Lisa recounts her epic voyages around Antarctica where she regularly faced snow storms and blizzards, 100 km/h winds and waves the height of a 5 story building and nearly didn't live to tell the tale.
