Join us on Newcastle Harbour on Sunday 11th September 2022 as we kick off the new boating season by blessing the fleet.
 

Instructions

1. 9.30am – muster in the Basin and keep a listening watch on VHF Ch 77.
2. 10.00am – the lead boat will make a radio call announcing that they will commence the sail past. This will be accompanied by repeated horn blasts and they will slowly begin following the course.
3. The lead boat will proceed at 4 knots. Participated vessels are requested to form a single file, following the lead boat.
4. The course will take vessels up to the NCYC clubhouse before transiting along the Honeysuckle waterfront and out toward Nobbys.
5. Vessels will be blessed as they pass Honeysuckle Hotel.

*We anticipate that boats intending to race will have ample time to return to the dock to ‘undress’ their boat and collect ‘Race Crew’ if required.

 

Note - we will also have prizes for the best dressed boat (and crew) to be presented after the afternoon race.
