Mini Roos U8- U12 Boys and Girls

MINI ROOS U8 - U12 BOYS/GIRLS

A letter for new U8 parents

MINI ROOS TEAMS GIRLS AND BOYS U8 - U12

A full description of the Mini Roos formatt is available by clicking here.

You can register for a Mini Roos team  from $475

Training will then be once or twice a week as per the training schedule

Boys

All boys are placed in a team based on their age at 1st January 2020. For example if your son is 9 years old on 1 Jan 2020 then they should be playing in U10 teams etc.

If your son is 7 years old or below on 1st Jan 2020, we are recommending that he participates in Maccabi Little Strikers each Sunday morning to gain vital skills prior to playing competitive matches.

If any boy wants to take football seriously, we really recommend a second night of training, in other words join the SAP group. This will advance their skills enormously.

Girls

All girls are placed in a team based on their age at 1st January 2020. If your daughter will be upset to be playing with the year below her because she is the youngest in her year, please say so. We only recommend girls play up if it is a choice between playing or not playing. Otherwise, teams become more aggressive as they age.

If your daughter is 7 years old or below on 1st Jan 2020, we are recommending that she participates in Maccabi Little Strikers each Sunday morning to gain vital skills prior to playing competitive matches.

If any female wants to take football seriously, we really recommend a second night of training with a boys team, in other words join the SAP group. This will advance their skills enormously.

Mini Roos SAP

SAP stands for Skill Acquisition Program.

SAP is an extra night training for any Mini Roos player that elects to take it for an extra cost of $100 per player for the season.

SAP is designed to develop the individual skills of the player outside of their normal team environment, therefore it is possible that the player may not be doing their SAP night with their regular team. It could be done with players from other teams.

Mini Roos Kanga

The Mini Roos Kanga teams are generally more skilled and/or experienced than the other teams in the same age group.

To be eligible to try out for a Kanga team during the trials period in any age group the player must be a part of the SAP program.
