The Footscray Saltwater regatta is always a popular entry on the annual calendar.  3 lanes of 800m sprint racing along the Maribyrnong River on a straightish course with minimal buoying - it's reminiscent of Rutherglen without the extreme Northern Victorian heat!  It's also set on a picturesque corner of Footscray park with a beautiful view of the Melbourne CBD - what's not to love about it!
