Every year, Australia Day long weekend brings a trip to Geelong for the annual Barwon regatta on Sunday, January 25th for a mixture of club, masters and mixed events racing over 1000m on a beautiful stretch of the Barwon River.  You're halfway there when you pass under the first bridge and time to build for a strong finish as you pass under the second - and no arches to contend with on either of them!
