At MYC, safety is at the heart of everything we do on the water. All skippers are required to attend a safety briefing (or watch online) and sign a declaration prior to racing. We also strongly encourage crew members to join in – it's a great opportunity to build confidence and awareness as a team.

The briefing will cover:

• Safe navigation on Sydney Harbour

• Key regulations around commercial traffic

• “Rules of the road” for yachts under sail and power

• Practical tips to help ensure a smooth and safe race day

We’ll also touch on MYC’s Risk Management Plan, which all members are encouraged to review so we can all play our part in creating a safe, responsible racing environment.

You can attend this session in person at the club or via Zoom – whichever suits you best.
