Fee Structure

Melbourne University Water Polo Club fees comprise three components:

1. Club Membership

   • Mandatory for all members. The appropriate membership fee is based on your student eligbility.

2. Water Polo Victoria and Water Polo Australia Capitation Fees

   • Capitation fees are applicable to members playing in formal WPV/WPA competitions and tournaments.

3. Match Fees or Training Levy

   • Charged per tournament or season of competition

The total annual fee is determined by adding the three components above. Multiple match fee components may apply if multiple seasons are played.

Club Membership Fees

Melbourne University Water Polo Club has the following Club Membership fees for the 2023/24 Seasons. We are pleased to be able to continue to offer a competitive fee structure, with Club Membership Fees remaining at the same price as the 2022/23 Seasons.

If you are unsure which memebership category applies to you, please speak to the club before registering. You can have you membership upgraded to a Competition Member in future as needed.

WPV/WPA Capitation Fees

Capitation fees are required to be paid by members who will be playing in formal WPV/WPA competitions and tournaments during the 2023/24 seasons and are paid at the time of registration. These fees are set by WPV & WPA and the club has no control over these fees. 

Water Polo Victoria Fees have been held constant for 2023/24 from the previous season, while Water Polo Australia fees for 2023/23 have increased by 7.1% from the previous season.

Match Fees or Training Levy

Match Fees are applicable to all members who play for Melbourne University Water Polo Club during the fixtured WPV competitions, tournaments or other social competitions where applicable. Summer Competition Match Fees have increased by $15 from the 2022/23 fees.

A Training Levy will be charged per season to Social Members only who train regularly throughout the competition season, but do not compete in one of the club’s competition teams. This levy contributes to training costs, including pool hire, coaching and equipment costs to run training sessions.

Match Fees or Training Levies may be paid on a payment plan split across the relevant competition season. For more information please speak to your team manager or the Club Treasurer.
