MUPolo are calling for Expressions of Interest for players wishing to play in the WPV Summer Competition in 2025.

Competition Details

The competition will commence in the week beginning 22 July 2025, and run for 16 rounds, with finals to be held in December.

Melbourne University will enter teams suitable for the players who express interest. Pending numbers, the club will look to enter the following teams:

• Women's State League 3
• Men's State League 2 and/or 4
• Opportunity for a mixed team in SL5 or SL6

Eligibility

Members must be registered and financial with both the Melbourne University Water Polo Club and Water Polo Victoria/Australia to be eligible to play in this formal competition.

Costs

Final costs are yet to be confirmed as we work through final fees with WPV, please expect at least 10% increase on last years fees. 

Fees will be split into two payments as follows:

1. Payment 1 - Match Fees, due at Round 1
2. Payment 2 - WPV/WPA Capitation & MU Club Fee, due at the September rollover.

For reference, 2024 Summer Competition Fees were as follows:

• 2024 Summer Competition Match Fee $445 (seasonal fee)
• WPV/WPA Capitation Fees $265 (annual fee)
• Melbourne Uni Club Fee $100 [$28 for students] (annual fee)
