A last‑minute fundraising opportunity has come up, and we’re hoping our club community can lend a hand.
A local primary school has reached out for support after their gardener unexpectedly had to take personal leave. They’ve asked if we can help with some light yard work, and in return the school will make a donation to our club.
We’re looking for members who can spare some time on Sunday, 1st February 2026 between 6:00am and 10:00am to help with simple tasks such as:
Raking sandpits
Clearing leaf litter
Light weeding of garden beds
The work will be very manageable—especially with a good turnout. Junior members are encouraged to join in, as the tasks are easy and suitable for all ages.
📍 Meeting place: 57 Forden Street ⏰ Time: 6am – 10am (come for as long as you can) 📅 Date: Sunday, 1st February 2026 📞 Contact: Brooke – 0429 885 450
If you’re able to bring any basic gardening equipment (rakes, brooms, gloves, etc.), it would be greatly appreciated.
Please RSVP as soon as you can so we know if we have enough helpers to take on the job. If we cannot commit, the opportunity will be offered to other local clubs.
Thank you in advance for your community spirit and your support of both the school and our club’s fundraising efforts!
