Mounties have held on to 1st position in the SNSW Mens State League competition after defeating United 8-0 in 5 innings.
With a short round this week due the Softball NSW AGM, the women had a week off and the men had 1 game today.
Mounties let their intentions know from the onset, with a full count lead off home run to Tom Cass to get things started, This was followed up by a double to Blake Jackson who scored from a triple to Lachlan Coe. For Mounties to take the lead in 1st 2-0.
This was followed up by some more greati hitting with Lincoln Walk hitting a single, moved around the bases by a single to Graydon Lysle. Black Jackson and Ethan Field hit Back to back home runs, and Lachlan Coe picked up a single to take the the Lead to 7-0.
Mounties failed to score again until the 5th inning despite another Single to Lincoln Walk.
In the Top of the 5th Mounties only needed to hold on for the win, a single to Daniel Harrison with 2 out opened the way for Lincoln Walk to get an RBI with a double to Leftfield bring the score to 8-0.
Another strong performance on the mound for Lincoln saw him walk away with a Shutout no hitter giving up only 1 walk in the game and pitching 11 Strikeouts. With this pitching performance and going 3 from 3 with the Bat, he was today's standout performer.

State league is taking a break next week due to the the SNSW U14 State Championships and will resume on Sunday 24 September where the Men will take on the Defending Champions Tropics at 9am on Diamond 3 and then Thunderbirds at 11:30am on Diamond 3.
The women will be Playing Norwest Wolves on Diamond 2 at 9:00am and then Manly Eagles on Diamond 2 at 2pm.
