Course Overview
The aim of GOS is to provide a program accessible to woman encapsulating all areas of our sport and leading to overall participation and involvement at MYC.
The program consists of 4 sessions that progress our participants through the steps to becoming involved in a great sport and terrific club.

Who should do this course?

This course is designed for women who're interested in learning about a new activity, build friendships and become involved in a club environment.

Where to meet

On the first day of the course please meet your instructors upstairs in the Mornington Yacht Club. Aim to be 10 minutes early, as it's always hard to find a park!!

What we wear

  • A waterproof/windproof top/jacket is ideal
  • If it's cold, a wollen fleece jumper (cotton gets very cold if it gets wet)
  • Comfortable clothing
  • Hat and sunscreen (sunglasses are recommended)
  • Functional footwear (shoes may get splashed, no heels, no dark soled shoes as they mark decks of boat)
  • Bring a waterbottle
  • Please do not bring any valuables or wear jewellery that can be lost in water
  • Bring a spare pair of pants/shorts for after saiing, as you may get a wet bottom sitting on the boat!

Note: This is not an Australian Sailing accredited course and instead is conducted by the school/club/organisation, outside of the Australian Sailing framework.
