🥋 Beginner Karate Class – Ages 5-8

This class is designed for children aged 5-8 years old who are White to Yellow Belt level. It provides a fun, supportive, and structured environment where beginners can learn karate at their own pace.

What students will learn:

• Karate fundamentals: kihon (basics), coordination, balance, confidence, concentration, discipline, and teamwork.

• First kata: Heian Shodan

• Basic sparring: Gohon (5-step) Kumite

Class structure:

• Warm-up & team bonding (10 minutes) to get students excited and ready to learn.

• Focus on fundamentals through age-appropriate instruction.

• Fun karate games at the end to reward effort and build enjoyment.

Progression:
Students typically remain in this class for around two years, developing a solid foundation before moving on to the Orange Belt class. Training alongside peers at the same beginner level ensures they can learn, grow, and build confidence without pressure from more advanced students.
