"Sail Our Way" She Sails - Women & Girls Try Sailing Day – Sunday 1 March 2026

Join us at the Mooloolaba Yacht Club for a fun, hands‑on introduction to sailing designed especially for women and girls. This welcoming day is the perfect opportunity to explore the many aspects of sailing in a relaxed and supportive environment.

The day begins with our “Sail Our Way” Panel Discussion, featuring inspiring women from across our sailing community as they share their stories, pathways into the sport, and insights into building confidence on and off the water.

Participants will then rotate through a series of on‑shore and on‑water activities, running simultaneously in smaller groups. You’ll learn how to rig an Elliott 6 keelboat, practise essential knots, handle some of the sails, and enjoy a sailing experience on the river aboard the club’s 6m yachts, moored right in front of the clubhouse at the Mooloolaba Marina.

An informal information session will also run as part of the rotation, where key aspects of sailing are explained in a friendly, accessible way. With SailGP on the big screen, you’ll be able to watch high‑performance sailing in action and connect what you’re learning to the excitement of the sport.
