Monash University Squash Club is pumped to share with you the coolest squash event of the year which is just around the corner! Monash University Open is back for 2026 with a chunkier prize pool, cooler merch, greasier BBQ food, more-bizarre music selection and better marketing gimmicks. The club volunteers have been slaving away tirelessly to prepare a wholesome and fun-filled weekend for the squashaholic community and we would love to see you there! Here's the lowdown👇

• 📆 Dates: Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd August
• 🕒 Times: Matches will run between 9:00am to 7:00pm on both days
• 📍 Location: Monash Sport, Clayton 
• 🔎 Details: Grades for all abilities, squash skills optional! Minimum of 3 matches over both days. Men's and Women's Open Division, Divisions 1-6 are all-gender + Women's Beginner Division
• 💰 Registration Fee: $45 for standard entry, $25 for students and juniors.
• 🎁 Prize Pool: Over $5k in total! $2k in cash prizes for Men's and Women's Open Divisions. $3k in prize vouchers for Divisions 1-6 & Women's Beginners Division. Cash/voucher prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in all Divisions! 
  
• 🛍️ Souvenir:  Stay cool and refreshed with an iconic Monash University Open 2026 bottle, free for each entrant! Featuring artwork from the club's wonderful graphic artist Faye Chen, it is an eye-catching and practical must-have accessory for every discerning squashaholic. Hurry, only while stocks last!
• 🍽️ Food: Free pizza will be provided for Sunday Afternoon grand finals and presentation ceremony! Food will be available for purchase throughout the tournament.
  

⚠️ Important registration requirements:

Monash University Open is a S&RV (Squash & Racquetball Victoria) sanctioned tournament. All players are required to have a current membership with S&RV:

• Monash University Squash Club members (half year or full year) are required to have a current S&RV Social or Local Metro membership.

• All other players are required to have a current S&RV Local Metro or Local Country membership.

• If above membership requirements are not met, players can purchase a free, one-off MySquash pass valid for 12 weeks (only for new players who have never registered before). Alternatively, a $20, 7-day expiry Tournament pass can also be purchased.

All memberships can be purchased from https://www.revolutionise.com.au/monashunisquash/registration. If you have a membership that doesn't allow for tournament entry (digital membership for Monash University Squash Club members, digital or social for other players), contact general.manager@squashvic.com.au for assistance upgrading your membership.

📝 Match Format

Matches are expected to run between approximately 9:30am and 5:30pm. Players will not generally be required to attend for the full duration of each day. A match schedule will be made available a few days prior to the event.

Rough division ratings are as follows:

Each player will be guaranteed a minimum of 3 matches over both days. Matches run in 45 minute blocks, using PAR-11 BO5 format.

Each division will be limited to 16 players maximum, run in either MONRAD or round robin format.

Your division may be subject to change according to signup numbers. Top ranked players may be automatically placed in Men's Open / Women's Open divisions.
