Round 14 saw 2 very entertaining matches with only a goal seperating the teams. The early game saw Tim Doherty from Flat Dogs open the scoring with a direct shot from the top of the circle followed by a second later in the half. Buccs hit back with a deflected goal to Lawry Smith to cut the deficit. Mel Myers was again on the score card this week to see Flat Dogs extend their lead. Again Buccs attacked with a goal to Jordi Oakley only to see fill in Matt Beveridge on the end of a pass across the circle to extend their lead. Todd Blackstock from Buccs scored to make for an exciting last few minutes, however Flat Dogs held on to remain second on the table with 4 rounds remaining.

The late match was another nail bitter with a late goal to decide the winner. The match highlighted 2 excelllent goals in different ways. After Karl Lamb opened the scoring for Blues, Matt Beveridge equalised for South Park following a run from the half way at the start of the second half by fill in Jordi Oakley who caught the Blues defence napping and his final pass was on the money. This led to another outstanding goal by Terry Castelli, who after his first touch control at the top of the circle, saw the ball smashed  high into the net giving James Boreham no chance in goal. A penalty corner conversion from Ryan Knowles saw the teams draw level before a late attack from South Park found an unmarked Matt Beveridge in the right spot to hit the winner with less than 3 minutes to go.

20 July, Round 15 - Buccs play Blues Bros at 7 pm followed by South Park vs Flat Dogs at 8.15 pm.
